...And We Have A Graduate

Cook # 2 has officially made it. 

Rile is a graduate! 

I have to admit, I have a pretty top notch brother! We've grown oddly close over the past few years (maybe too close at times, haha), but he is still my little brother so, I am gonna be a little sappy- I'm really proud of the guy he is turned into. He is personable, outgoing, smart, and he knows how to have a good time like his big sis!

Actually, he is already celebrating by jumping out of planes!

I literally got this pic via text about fifteen minutes ago. My mom is still recovering from the slight heart attack she had when she was told Riley was sky diving- ALL IS CLEAR HE IS SAFE AND LANDED!

Sweet and Easy: Summertime

thank the lord, we have once again made it to sweet sweet summer. 

lightening bugs are out, sunburns are soaking in, and a day lounging by the pool is a day well spent. 

i had one of my first pool days of the summer this past weekend-in my book, that means it's officially summer time. i'm trying to make this best of this summer because it will be my last. next summer, i will be in the real world- ahhhhh.

one of my summer must-haves:

a few mix and match suits (bathing suits, that is).

Current Crush: LIFE

So, you may be tired of hearing it, but I just love summer months! 

Things are really picking up in the Adair world and I couldn't be more excited. It's nice actually having time to devote and seeing things head in a positive direction! 

I have been reviewing the images from the shoot on Saturday. Here is a new little gem for your eyes- what do y'all think?

There are so many things I love about this pic. The arm candy, Salud Beer Shop's lime trimmed window that's the perfect compliment to our look, Alex's mysterious facial expressions- heart, seriously, skips a beat.

Thought this was appropriate: it seems lately life is rewarding me for, well, loving life. Is it just me or does summer leave y'all in a "LIFE IS GOOD" state too?

Real Deal, Meet Steal

I am a sucker for a versatile pair of shoes  addition to my wardrobe. When shoe shopping lately, Dolce Vita seemed to be the stand out brand in the wedge world. 

These 3 neutrals were my top picks...

Decision time didn't come easy but, I went with the Julie Sandal in Cognac (top right). I thought they would be the most accepting of my wide feet and cankles :-). Not to mention, season-less thanks to the versatility of the leather! So, just like that my day was made: these beauties were headed my way!

Two days later my roomie came in with a target bag and whipped out these (bottom right)...

Yeah, I know. I was thinking the same thing- YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDING ME! There, right before my eyes, was one of my top three for $30 AND the faux leather looked amazing! The next day, I was scavenging around Forever 21 and what do I find? The little beauties on the left. So, I pulled the trigger snagged those, headed to target grabbed those, and sent the Julie's right back as soon as she arrived!

That is right, 2 pairs< 1 pair.

I'll take it!

On A Bright Note

It's been an unusually peppy Monday here.

Sun is shining, birds are chirping, and it is the first day of summer school for me ( as dreaded as this is, even it didn't bring me down)! I think my adrenaline is still churning from a beyond fab weekend!

Hello, Summer

Sorry, I  have been MIA for a few. I couldn't quite get a summer schedule down pat.

But, don't you fret- I think I've figured it out.

Sadly, my frist week of summer has not been filled with days spent pool side, warm sunshine, and magazines like I had imagined. Its been pretty gloomy here in NC, but I have been able to catch up on my lack of sleep from finals and get organized.

 Now, I'm looking ahead to a bright and busy summer!

It's Monday: Love It

tell me this isn't a good way to start off the week?

a good monday following a good weekend-i have to say, i love it.

1. a little last day of class celebration with band, time sawyer. they are no joke-seriously, they are gonna be big (i can just feel it).

2. big sister/bff/roomie's 21st birthday. a sore throat and ear ache had me home a little early, but i will be back in action for the celebrating that is still to come.

3. grant and i ready for a fun night- that huge thing around my neck that you can't take your eyes off of is our new Ms. Pebbles Necklace in coral- i'm still gaga over it. 

4. and of course, we had to get in our cinco de mayo festivities. along, with everyone else trying to feel little festive, we hit the local mexican joint. 

now, lets see if this good monday moral last through these exams. fingers crossed.

Weekend: Day To Night

sorry, i have been absent this week. tons going on here with finals- thank the lord,

 they will be done, done, done after next week. i managed to get a few new arrivals up this morning and i just so happen to have a fav.

Polished Motivation

hello. hello.

its been a crazy week. crazy i tell you. 

my brain has officially decided it needs a little "me time"- considering the amount of studying i've been doing, i'm going to deem that a-okay.

first thing i am going to do after my last test thursday morning is hit the nail salon.

[a little post test treat and prep for a weekend in charleston]

it's good motivation.

 in between flash cards my mind has been drifting to polish colors- yes, there are hundreds of more important things i could be thinking about. but, the polish color to choose tomorrow morning is currently taking the cake.

 here's to getting this pesky distraction of out my system.

hope yall are having a great hump day! this dreary weather we are having in NC has had me lagging today. so, what to do? pinterest. pinterest. pinterest.

the fist thing i will take on after finals (only 3 weeks away-time to cram) is the Adair room. this room is currently the most chaotic, head ache causing, clutter you have ever scene. the lack of structure, combined with my scattered brain is not good. not good at all.

 i'm so happy i will finally be able to make the space adairable (adairable- anything Adair that is adorable. my friend, brooke, came up with this cutie word & i love it). 

of course, pinterest did not let me down when it came to inspiration.
