All The Rave: Neon

Its bold, but I am ready to embrace. I started my plunge into neons yesterday at the nail salon, with OPI's Cajun Shrimp on my toes. Let me tell ya, they pop! Neons, when done right, are the perfect accent to this season's look!

Weekend Wrap Up

A birthday celebration is aways a good way to start off the weekend! This shindig was for Brandy (my bff’s sis, who feels like fam to me too. one of the funniest, carefree, "what you see is what you get" kinda girls you will ever meet. the bomb.com hair dresser- you should all go see her at Valeria Salon and Spa in Huntersville).  Brandy’s line of the night was “It’s my birthday & I’ll cry if I want too!”, but I didn’t see her shed a tear all night- ha!

The rest of the weekend was a family filled, jellybean popping, whole lotta fun Easter celebration! Grant and I bounced from house to house-spending time with our families and stuffing our faces!

Off to grandmaw's we went, fixins in tow (my grandparents live right across the street)! Not much can get my amlost 15 yr- old dog Buddy off his bed-the ham got 'em! So, Bud came to lunch too!

& now, its Monday again! Hoping for some new arrivals up this afternoon, a trunk show tomorrow, a shipment of TO-DIE-FOR jewels in Wednesday- lots going on in the next three days! Thank the Lord, not one single test this week (that sure puts a smile on my face)!!!

WITH THE BLINK OF AN EYE, IT'S MONDAY

Busy doesn’t even begin to describe my weekend! It was chocked full of excitement, starting with the wrap up of Greek Week, here at UNCC. & for the 6^th year in a row Alpha Delta Pi took the cake- its safe to say, we are a little competitive! Friday night was air band (a theatrical dance performance competition between members of Greek Life), our theme was “Once Upon A Time”, it was a fairy tale performance that landed us 1^st place! Thank the lord my sisters can work it- if I had to get out there I would look like a fish out of water {rhythm is not a strong suit of mine}! Check out the performance here.

Saturday was a big day, Carolina Cup! Yay- we had all been looking forward to it for quite sometime! As expected, College Park was a sea of pastels! I broke the mold a little and went with a less cup-ish number that I thought went best with my hat (more on that here)! Thankfully, the rain showers were over by the time we rolled into Camden, leaving us with a pretty day! The little things made it a memorable trip from the charter buss’s emergency exits turned sunroofs (yes, that happened) to running into old friends, we had a blast- not to mention there were a few Adair spottings

 {which obviously, made me giddy}!

Laura Wood, a friend from high school (all the way left), sported Adair, as well! Didn't she just look stunning in our Lovers Blues Dress? I mean seriously, she has to have the best smile of anyone I know & the combination of her red locks with the cobalt lace was smokin!

While I am on a dress kick, I have to give a shot out to Jessica Glover for, in my option, having the most stand out dress- looks like I am just into the whole red hair/blue dress combo! But really, she was perfectly suited for the occasion! I am not typically a Lilly girl, but I was drooling over this dress!

Every detail was swoon worthy- the peplum waste line was not over done, embroidered detail from front to back-breath taking, and the exposed back zipper gave it a little edge! Jess- you nailed it!

3 Generations

My Mamaw Shirley made her first Adair clothing purchase last night and I must say, she is going to blow the McGill Baptist congregation out of the water- in a super chic age appropriate way, of course! We got her away from black and in to something softer! I have to say, its pretty exciting that she trust me enough to deck her out in “young people’s clothing”, but this just proves-its all about how you style it! Needless to say, I was excited for her! No doubt, my Papaw Bob is going to set eyes on her and think, “Okay, Shirl. Go on wit ya bad self!”- maybe not those exact words, but ya feel me!

And... He's Legal

My little (or not so little) brother is turning EIGHTTEEN today! It should be an exciting day for him, I mean he does get to see me tonight for dinner- haha. I have a feeling this weekend he will be celebrating because Lord knows; he will be in bed by 10:30 on this Wednesday night. He may be 18, but he is still under Momma’s roof – yes, as a Senior in high school if you are in the Cook house, you still have a bed time {my mom is a 4^th grade teacher & you better believe her children get their full 8 hrs}! Back on track,

My past two days have been a chaotic mess of note cards, textbooks, and Redbull!

Lucky for you, I was able to take just enough time away from school to get some new stuff up on Adair!! All of these dresses just SCREAM SPRING! All of the colors, although from different pallets, are just perfect for this sun shinning weather we have been having! Hope yall love them as much as I do!
